A Refractograph is a photograph of the caustic patterns produced by light as it passes through an object. The process involves removing the lens of the camera and shining a light through a glass object - I love to use beer bottles or wine glasses - after consuming the contents. The object becomes the lens and projects the caustic patterns straight onto the cameras sensor or film. These patterns are manually colored during a long exposure and there is very little to no post processing on a computer.
